New Partnership Announcement – Blackpool Teaching Hospitals

We’re excited to share that e18 Innovation has signed a new contract with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supporting their next phase of digital transformation.
This past weekend, Blackpool bid farewell to its longest-serving IT system – the HISS (Hearts) Patient Administration System – after 33 years of service. In its place, the Trust has successfully implemented IMS MAXIMS, migrating over 64 million data items and enabling more than 5,000 patient interactions through the new platform in its first 48 hours. A truly remarkable milestone that signals a new era of digital maturity for the Trust.
As they look ahead, we’re thrilled to be working alongside their teams to unlock the full value of intelligent automation.
Many NHS organisations have started their RPA journey but haven’t yet scaled beyond a handful of processes. That’s where our service model makes the difference.
🟣 Strategic alignment with national and regional digital goals
🟣 Support for identifying and prioritising high-value use cases
🟣 Expert development, coaching, and governance to drive quality and consistency
🟣 Ongoing wraparound services that shift automation from siloed projects to sustainable, enterprise-wide adoption
At e18, we’re not just deploying bots — we’re helping Trusts turn automation into a long-term enabler of clinical and operational transformation.
Welcome to the e18 community, Blackpool. We’re excited to be part of your journey.
