The NHS is ‘stuck in the analogue age’ and burdened by outdated technology, according to Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting at the annual NHS Confederation Conference. He called for faster adoption of technology and the creation of a ‘single front door for technology innovators’. Wes emphasised the need to build an NHS that is fit for the future, equipped to handle the health needs of the UK in 2048.

Louise Wall, MD and Founder of e18, shared her thoughts in this recent article. She outlined that leveraging technology is crucial to address workforce pressures and streamline tasks. She emphasised that automation plays a pivotal role in freeing up healthcare professionals’ time for direct patient care and enhancing the quality of care provided. Louise also called for tailored automation solutions that align with the specific needs and goals of the NHS.
